Working Class in the Arts - application form

Please read carefully before completing this form.

Working Class in the Arts is a 10 week personal development programme for artists/makers living in Thanet over the age of 21. You are free to self define as working class, this will not be policed or questioned on the programme. There are very limited places and people will be chosen based on the application below. We are looking for a wide range of visual artists.

Specifically we are looking for:

- People living in Thanet and especially those who grew up here

- People who had to leave or pause their practice because of class barriers

- People looking to get back into the creative industry after a break because of childcare or financial barriers

- People wanting to try a range of activities with other working class artists

- People available for 90% of the programme dates to the best of their knowledge 

*** This is not an exhaustive list if you are a working class artist looking for support, morale boost or community this may be the place for you!

Quench Gallery is accessible by 3 steps, workshops will take place on the entrance level of the gallery.

We are a very small part time team but happy to help anyone with their application in person or over the phone  by appointment.  

APPLICATIONS WILL CLOSE JULY 22nd.  Do not rush the form you will not be able to edit and the applications will not close before this point. We may invite a number of applicants to meet in person, we'll do this at an individuals convenience.
